I have encountered ads on google search and they have yet to be patched. Like google price ads, and its been going for months and has yet to be fixed. When this wasn't always the case. It used to block the ads on google without needing to element block them. Can the filters be updated to bypass this.
@shulk-skywalker Could you rather highlight the ads in dev tools (right click and Inspect (Chromium)/Inspect Element (Firefox))? Your code, probably just copied from the picker, includes too many random class names and doesn't help.
@carpenter In the past report you posted SS of dev tools which is MUCH more helpful than the picker-generated code, but this time not? Unless there's an evidence that these random-looking classes are constant, filter writers don't prefer such codes. Say, your past SS shows attributes such as
which will be better than the classes in this case. I really hope every reporter to understand the picker is not a rule-generation tool but an assistant tool: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock- ... -631459847 BTW that one seems to be an annoyance than an ad so make sure yours is not covered by Fanboy Annoyances.

This is not a picker filter, i don't trust those and I craft and test filters manually. what I posted seems to be working without over-filtering (several previous attempts). I'm only posting the rule with the update this time because my older report was not implemented in any lists so i assume the maintainers decided not to include it, which is perfectly reasonable for them to choose. I'm just posting my current filter in case anyone else wants to add it to their own list. If you have a suggestion for a better filter I'm all ears! you can get the full current code from google, but in short they're iframing a separate page now and i haven't found a way to precisely block just the iframe directly.
@carpenter Okay, I'm sorry then. I asked because not reproduced on Firefox but now on Edge reproduced. As I suspected, your code doesn't work on my end - mine has completely different class names.

@Yuki this is going to sound really dumb but i completely forgot that you can just block the callout URL directly and leave the iframe alone since an empty iframe doesn't matter >< I'll leave that in place for a few days and try that, seems to be the simplest filter at least until google changes it again. thank you so much for all your help!
It seems the price ads for where reviews are gone at this point, but it gave us a new type of ad in return these ads seen in the screenshot below
Google you sneaky rats.
Easylist please update your filters to stop this.
I typed in Nintendo Switch and got the ads to show up and ps4 for shop now to show up
Easylists please update this soon, Im tired of element blocking.
I was doing some testing with ublock origin and I found this ad. Now this isn't the first time this ad has shown up. Its been here for awhile and its still there. What makes it weirder is when I check the domains, its the only time google syndication shows up (red). https://imgur.com/a/QQSWvNH
and also when you type in consoles like nintendo switch you get this https://imgur.com/a/Gv2nY1C
I found out adguard base no longer stops the google search ads from appearing. It seems the easiest way to get rid of them is via my filter or element picker with ublock origin. These ads are location based and stores that are near by that have said game that I search.
Google ads search can be found if you type in game and if theres a store that has them near by it will display and ad.
Side note: About the google search ads: They are based on where you live so if you have a store or product they sells certain stuff it will show an ad. So it is location based on when these ads show up.
Im guessing google have updated there ads since last time I checked. And adguard base was a good option to fix this issue, sadly it no longer works.
I have studied these ads for awhile now and they are location based.
@randomtroller Please follow the rules rather than just requesting to add your rules. Wildcard in cosmetic is not supported in ABP and thus not used in EL/Fanboy addons. The consent can be hidden, but then scroll will be locked which can not be solved in FB Annoyance as it requires css injection not supported in ABP.
