I still see Best Buy ad at the top of the Flash content area. Other ads appear on the page after you run the speed test.

I've discovered that these filter break the site when using uBlockOrigin, in reference to my previous posts ^
Also, the ads do leak through ADP for Chrome even with that filter ^

Here's something interesting: I don't see the ad when accessing the page from a French IP, but I see the ad when accessing from a USA IP.

So is there some conspiracy where speedtest.net has paid ABP to keep ads unblocked on their site?

Yes, I know it's a volunteer site, but specifically, speedtest.net has had ads visible on their site for a very long time now and it seems like they've given up on trying to block them.

it's all about filters, not adblockers.
Are you talking about beta or regular speedtest ?
did you try these ?

I'm talking about the regular speedtest.net, not beta. And no, those filters don't work.

sure you should modify a little those filters, try these:

Weird.. I don't see the ads anymore with your filters above. Maybe they were cached.
Anyway, these should be merged:

What the hell.. Privacy Badger and Ghostery both cause the ads to show even with the custom filters you provided. This is similar to the issue here:

sure, what I whitelisted using the filters above ... ghostery is still blocking.
again ... remove that crap (ghostery) !

The site is disabling ABP's shadow root's stylesheet:
I've seen this done before for uBO as well, by ExtremeTech.

Just bumping to say that the speedtest.net ad is still visible and has been visible for months now and it seems like the filter list maintainers have given up on trying to block it.

So the website using AdBlock on Chrome and mozilla firefox and adblock plus I still see two adverts with the server 368205127.keywordblocks.com and with the adsense logo.

It seems speedtest.net is blocking adblock plus in both chrome and firefox via an addition to easylist. I first noticed it on chrome and tested it on firefox, firefox worked fine until I updated easylist then it also failed to work. The site now only displayed the following text:
"It looks like an ad blocker is blocking our ability to run a test. Please try disabling the ad blocker and then refresh this page.
To continue using the ad blocker, please add this filter to the ad blocker's options.
@@||*.speedtest.net/api/*$xmlhttprequest,domain=speedtest.net
I narrowed it down to easylist by disabling it on each browser and then the site loads fine, I also tried having anti-adblocker scripts running and they don't affect this page at all.
Any ideas?
