When logging out from the international GMX mailbox (and arriving to https://www.gmx.com/logout/
), with the default EasyPrivacy and EasyList enabled, if you wait a few seconds, a static ad branded with the Google AdSense logo, but served from gmx.com, will appear on top on the news:
This ad is geolocated, and often specific to the city I live in. It seems like GMX is acting as a middleman between my computer and Google, but I can't confirm this.
The following filter blocks these ads, and some suspicious subdocuments, without loss of functionality:

EDIT: Blocking completely the subdomain i0.gmx.com
will also block the pictures for some news articles.
