First time I've ever seen this on wapo. Example:
Code: Select all
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/arts-and-entertainment/wp/2017/06/09/taylor-swifts-latest-move-is-petty-savvy-and-guaranteed-to-annoy-katy-perry/?tid=sm_tw&utm_term=.6f7c58851cf8
https://image.ibb.co/na2BAv/Capture.png
Unlike in
this previous thread , there's no visible link to dismiss it. I'm using Easylist and Adblock Warning Removal List (updated today, 2017-06-09). The overlay is in the bottom-furniture div, but I don't know how to block it.
Thanks

Code: Select all
@@/^((?!revsci.net|insticator.com|amazon-adsystem|2mdn.net|newrelic.com|outbrain.com|chartbeat.com|nr-data.net|quantserve.com|indexww.com|taboola.com|krxd.net|nexac.com|imrworldwide.com|effectivemeasure.net|googletagmanager.com|scorecardresearch.com|google-analytics.com).)*$/$script,image,other,domain=washingtonpost.com
or give up ABP and use uBo

washingtonpost.com now blocks the page when ads are disabled.
Blocking the following URLs fixes this.
Code: Select all
||washingtonpost.com/pb/resources/drawbridge/*.

Is it possible to block the paywall overlay that appears on their articles?

It didn't work. I still get the overlay.
Is there another filter I can try?

Please give adblock users the option to set the overflow property to visible on websites blocking scrolling. I'd appreciate a reply if you guys actually decide to do this. Thanks

Code: Select all
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2018/04/05/china-has-more-to-lose-in-a-trade-war-but-trump-has-a-key-weakness/
It will show "We noticed you’re blocking ads." and prevent you from viewing.

Test again with
or
Code: Select all
/adblocker-feature/*

On March 6, 2019 I went to the Washington Post (
https://www.washingtonpost.com
and while the main page comes up as expected, clicking on any article pops open a window saying: We noticed your blocking ads...
I am running Firefox 65.02 on Windows with UBO 1.18.4 and using all the default ad blockers plus custom one:
Code: Select all
! 2/27/2019 washingtonpost.com
||www.washingtonpost.com/wp-stat/pwapi
Any rule advice would be appreciated. Snapshot below on what it looks like:

Thanks @intense . The last suggestion in the github thread suggested a rule that worked. I believe that rule now appears in the updated Easy List rules as all my other machines where I did not add the rule are now working correctly on the washington post web site.

It appears in ublock filters. Easylist does not deal with anti adb stuff.

washingtonpost.com recently started putting up a "We noticed you’re blocking ads" message blocking access to content on most article pages:

Here's an example affected link:
Code: Select all

Use uBo (ublock origin), disable your current adblocker
