I get the ads only with uBlockO but not with ABP.
I don't have any TrafficFactory.biz extension in Firefox.

UPDATE: with ABP I get the ads in some vids. With uBO in *all* vids.
No extensions or malware.
@Lanik,
Can you test it again?

try adding
Code: Select all
||xvideos.com/videos/thumbs/*.gif$image
xvideos.com##.sponsor_popup
xvideos.com##a[href^="https://main.trafficfactory.biz"]
||xvideos.com/videos/thumbs/*.jpg$image

or remove the $image filters and add this 1:
||static-hw.xvideos.com/v3/js/skins/min/default.js?*

This breaks the toolbar below videos: comments, favorite, download, etc.

Thank you intense and gorhill.
gorhill added the relevant rules to uBlock filters. No ads.
The player is stretched to the entire width of the page but that's even better.
For the popup I had to add "no-popups: www.xvideos.com true. "xvideos.com##.sponsor_popup" doesn't work always.
@gorhill,
Can you test it in Pale Moon 26 + uBlockO?
No popups at all *without* the new filters/rule.

Looks like the site just changed, to override the new cosmetic filters. Still work for Chromium-based browsers though, because it supports shadow DOM out of the box.

The new filter breaks some of the button texts (submit button for comments, login button, etc) on the page. (Using ubo)

The filter causing the issue is
||xvideos.com^*/en.json$~third-party,xmlhttprequest
, added in
this commit .
The blocked resource which allows logging in is
http://static-hw.xvideos.com/v3/js/i18n/front/en.json
. If I allow only this one resource, it does look like logging in is fixed.
So maybe adding a very narrow exception filter such as
@@||static-hw.xvideos.com/v3/js/i18n/front/en.json$xmlhttprequest,~third-party
?

Well, I had no trouble logging in, it was just that the buttons were very small and had no way to distinguish themselves from other buttons.
but this
@@||static-hw.xvideos.com/v3/js/i18n/front/en.json$xmlhttprequest,~third-party
did the trick!
Thanks!

Hey guys,
I'm a developper of xvideos.
static-hw.xvideos.com/v3/js/i18n/*/en.json only contains translations.
Blocking this one will only avoid users from using comments, downloads and favorites on video page.
You should remove this rule.

Hi,
When you open any video from this site
then video player loads which extends, but when you disable ublock then open any video, now default player loads but with the ads showing. I would like to request could you please provide filters rule so that when i click any video then default video player loads without ads.
Thanks a lot

I don't understand your issue.
What uBo version / browser (version) are you using ?
