We have discovered this fraudulent copycat-looking site of adblockplus.org with the domain "adblockplus.net".
The danger is that it offers a downloadable exe file to install an IE-compatible version of Adblock Plus (there is NO such IE version of Adblock Plus). It does install an adblocker that actually seems to work ... although not very well at all. It also asks for $20.
I have just now added a couple of filters to the EasyList which hides the entire site from viewing. You will have to disable ABP to see it if you have just updated your filters on this date. Wladimir is dealing with the ABP infringement.
The good news is that It does not seem to contain any known viruses or malware from what we can see at this moment. Thanx to sheepy for having the guts to actually install it.
