sooz5zero please try the filters in this thread and post a working ABP report.
"If it ain't broke don't fix it."
sooz5zero The report's URL is indeed working but as pointed out above your issue might already be solved by trying the filters already posted in this thread. The anti adb warning is fixed for me adding these filters (viewtopic.php?p=123615#p123615):
Code: Select all
@@||fastly.net$domain=cbs.com
@@||cbs.com^$elemhide
@@||googletagservices.com/tag/js/gpt.js$script,domain=cbs.com
Thank you - the filters solved the issue.

I switched from ABP to UBO and added the custom filters as instructed upthread. This was a couple weeks ago when it was first posted. I never could get CBS to work with ABP but with UBO and the custom filters I could watch without issue, until today. Suddenly I am getting the nag screen and not able to watch videos.
Browser: Chrome
Adblock: Ublock Origin 1.14.8 (also tried abp with same filters, still didnt work)
Filters: EasyList, EasyPrivacy, plus the 3 custom filters above

Try these filters (only in uBo)

CBS anti-blocking message appears in the new Firefox but not in Chrome, using the same custom filters from above. In other words, I can view CBS.com content in Chrome, but not in the new Firefox.
The new Firefox 57 (Quantum) is much faster than before and IMHO has leapfrogged Chrome. It would be great to get ABP/EasyList working on the new Firefox.

Thank you so much for taking a look.
No joy with the suggested filters.
I don't understand the code on the page enough to know what to look for, but here is the diff between ABP off (<) and ABP on (>).

Thanks again for all you do.

Did you test keeping only ABP enabled ? (disable all other addons)

Thank you!
I had overlooked disabling the extension "Enhancer for YouTube". When I disabled that extension, cleared cookies, and reloaded, the video worked.
I went back and tested with the original filters. The new filters are necessary. Here are the filters that work:
Live long and prosper.
Thank you!

Sorry, i can't play the video even with "Adblock Plus" completely disabled http://i.imgur.com/Pf15Qts.pngDougo001 wrote:Unfortunately, not working now.
I went into Safe Mode in Firefox 56.0, and it played with ads. I went into incognito mode in Chrome, disabled AdBlock Plus, and it played with ads. Am using the filters immediately above. I cleared cache, cleared cookies, and cleared Flash Player storage settings.
ditto here.
Blocks content unless ABP is disabled. Did the usual clearing, etc., but no joy.

I tried uBlock Origin on Firefox 56.0 and the latest Chrome, and it worked right out of the box!
At the risk of speaking off-topic, the current version of Firefox is 61. There are many security and performance enhancements since 56.0. IMHO, you should strongly consider upgrading, but it's your machine and your call to make.on Firefox 56.0
Also worked for me on Firefox 61.0. I disabled ABP, installed uBlock Origin, and tried a CBS.com show. Worked.I tried uBlock Origin
Thanks, for the tip.
UPDATE
"uBlock" and "uBlock Origin" are not the same!
"uBlock Origin" worked for me. "uBlock" did not.
I tested both of them tonight (November 27, 2018), but only uBlock Origin works.
Darn it. Not working with UBlock Origin in Firefox 64.0.2, or latest Chrome.
fixed 2 days ago, update all lists, test again

Didn't work for me. I cleared stored data in Flash Player, cleared cookies and site data and cleared cache.
provide example page

https://www.cbs.com/shows/big_bang_theory/video/GufNsUPJKKMAgvzQeiAVoh3GimuBNj6C/the-big-bang-theory-the-confirmation-polarization/
waiting for a better fix, add:
Code: Select all
@@*$script,domain=cbs.com,third-party
or (uBo only)
Code: Select all
*/*$script,redirect=noopjs,domain=cbs.com,third-party

Hey thanks, that worked. In Firefox, I had to reset an about:config setting I messed with, media.autoplay.default I set back to 0.
In Chrome, I hit F5 to reload the page, then immediately hit the the X in the address bar to stop the page from loading, and that worked. (You might have to try that several times).
That was with the first filter you put up....You added the other three while I was composing this post! I'll test those now.

use the second set of filters (remove
@@*$script,domain=cbs.com,third-party
)That did the trick! Thank you so much. Sometimes one has to disable the stop HTML5 Autoplay extensions one might have (tip for someone who might be having trouble).
BTW, if it doesn't work for you on the first go round, just refresh (F5) the page a few times.
