DoubleVerify.com

Post by alivhits »

Hi, we started getting reports from our clients that Chrome is blocking content on our corporate site and in our analytics and setup interfaces, as a result they can't see reports or make settings changes.
After looking into it we found that this was caused by adding this rule "doubleverify.com^" to EasyList, and then Chrome started blocking iframes to widgets in the interfaces due to their Heavy ads blocking feature.

From reading about the lists I think the right thing to do is to move this rule to EasyPrivacy as we do not engage in serving ads, or at least change the rule to only address the ad measurement (cdn.doubleverify.com) and not the corporate site and client facing systems.

Thank you.

Its been used as a click through, so it stays. But have modified the rule.

Thank you for your response.
Could you please elaborate on how the rule was modified and what the implications are? I still see it in fanboy-adblock/fanboy-thirdparty.txt as

Code: Select all

doubleverify.com^$third-party

not

Code: Select all

cdn.doubleverify.com^$third-party

Thanks again for agreeing to modify the lists. Here is a comprehensive list of the subdomains used by our measurement tags:

  • tps.doubleverify.com
  • cdn.doubleverify.com
  • vast.doubleverify.com
  • bq.doubleverify.com
  • rtb.doubleverify.com
  • rtbcdn.doubleverify.com

Appreciate if you could remove DoubleVerify.com from all lists and place the above subdomains instead.
