I have had this problem on some news sites the video wont play unless you view the ad its how the site loads if the ad doesn't play first the video wont play I don't think it can be blocked. Even with noscript if you don't allow the script the page wont display and if you allow the script you get that stupid irrelevant (some American insurance company and im in Australia) floating video ad.
