Google has announced that it will follow the CBA’s definition for ad acceptability. From 55 types of ads, the CBA says that only nine of those ad types are egregious enough to block.

I am waiting for it to launch. Would like to see if its more effective than an extension or if it can work alongside adblocking extensions.

I hope it can be disabled, in case causes any problem with the adblock extensions.

It's not, that's what this blogpost establishes successfully. Out of 55 ad types, it only blocks 9. Also it doesn't block any tracking domains or coinminers and all other type of nasty shit found online. Extensions are here to stay.

Btw It's available in Chromium 66 on Canary, if you want to experience it yourself.
