rlslog.net

Post by highstream »

AdBlock staff says I should report here what looks like new ads that filters aren't picking up yet. With Opera 39, Opera 12.18, Slimjet and Vivaldi, the website rlsbb.net shows a type of ad that appears multiple times per page. It has either 3 or 6 large thumbnail photos underneath the text "Sponsored content," with "Sponsored by Rekover" at the bottom. Blocking and reloading does not eliminate them. The ads don't show with IE11 or FF47 (AdBlock Plus).

Added to the AdBlock Customize list in Opera 12, but didn't help. Perhaps this is why, when I tried to save it while in Opera 39:

The following filter:

Code: Select all

@@||rlslog.net^$generichide
has an error:

Code: Select all

Unknown option 'generichide' in filter '@@||rlslog.net^$generichide'

opera 12 does not support as I know generichide (At least with ABP)
opera 39 should work (in ABP it works)

This post is about what's happening with AB, not ABP. Read the OP. On the request of AB staff, I posted to let EasyList staff work on it. Thanks,

Sorry, but not a solution. Assuming you're not EasyList staff, let's let them work on it. Thanks anyway,

No, you'll get no fix from them because it happens only in chromium browsers (and adblock, ABP does not manage the websocket stuff).
So:
- disable all other blocking extensions, keep only adblock
- if still does not work try ABP

Opera 39, Slimjet and Vivaldi are chromium-based browsers, and from what I've found the vast majority of fixes that involve them help Opera 12 as well.

about your adblock:
As of AdBlock 3.0, AdBlock supports the $generichide and $genericblock filter options.

AdBlockforOpera is 2.57 here and shows as up to date. Figure they'll take me to 3 when they or it's ready.

Earth to intense (you're earning your moniker): 3.0 is not available to me, so $generichide is worthless to me.

I confirm, the new filters are blocking the Sponsored Content ads. Thanks!

You seem unable to quit. I'm not using ABP for the browsers in question. And I've already installed the latest versions of AB for Chrome 3.1 via the Google store with the modifications suggested by the AdBlock Community Manager (and now fanboy).
