Is there blacklist of strictly IP addresses to block?

Post by MrX »

Just a quick question, is there a list of just IP addresses of ads to be blocked?
I would like to ad these IP addresses to our companies blacklist on our Firewall.

For example, is there also a list of just IP addresses of the Adblock lists?

How lucky I am =). I got both moderators to respond to me... on my very first post.
I did this last night, I pinged a couple of the MSN ads, got the IP's and added them to the Firewall at work.
People today said MSN loaded much faster, and wasnt so cluttered, I am really thankful for you guys.

If possible, isnt there even just a "short list" of blocked IP's out there? Even just a few? Much thx
in advance. Really appreciate the quick response from you guys.

Sincerely,

There are list like that out there but you'll have to google for them. I don't know any sites off hand since I use the method talked about in these forums to block ads instead of IP's and firewalls.

Should be fairly trivial to parse the filter list for domain names, get their ips, and spit out a list...

I know where to find one!

http://pgl.yoyo.org/as/

You can get a list of domains or IP addresses from there--just specify what type of list you'd like!
