Also, be aware that if you use an extension-based VPN, you are not protected against local IP address-leakage on a Chromium-based browser.
What was the reason to not have the Websocket companion not part of the official uBO code? Given the amount of sites using Websockets to bypass many of the Chrome-based browsers
Because I "broke the internet" when I made it part of uBO in first release: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/issues/1604
Given how the websocket wrapper code has to be injected unconditionally on every single web page for it to work properly, I got skittish about doing so after issue #1604. Worst case, if uBO-WebSocket seriously breaks something, it can be removed without needing to remove uBO itself. I just do not have the QA power ABP and Adguard dev people have.
In any case, I will try to rely more and more on the CSP approach, it's safer and can't be worked around. uBO will be able to make use of filters such as

I am using uBO only. What do you mean by local ip address? My machine's ip?gorhill wrote:No ads on my side:gotitbro wrote:*Note: The English Easylist and default uBlock filters are subscribed to.http://imgur.com/a/zq44x

The ads do not load after updating the filter lists. And the ads were being loaded directly on
adskeeper.co.uk
on the webpage@gorhill.
See CAVEATS re. WebRTC for Chromium-based browsers:gotitbro wrote:I am using uBO only. What do you mean by local ip address? My machine's ip?
Following your report I added this morning,The ads do not load after updating the filter lists. And the ads were being loaded directly onadskeeper.co.uk
on the webpage
@gorhill.
*$websocket,domain=extratorrent.cc
, this is the filter which does the job. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I knew I wasn't totally invisible as some sites knew where I "really" came from. Shouldn't this bug with WebRTC have been fixed by now and more so since its coming to mainstream usage with Google and Facebook.gorhill wrote:See CAVEATS re. WebRTC for Chromium-based browsers:
Do you know any way I can simply disable WebRTC completely?
So, that's what stopped the ads from loading. What is with websocket and chromium browsers anyway?gorhill wrote:Following your report I added this morning,*$websocket, domain=extratorrent.cc

There's also an option in the Privacy category of the Settings tab in uBlock Origin that will turn WebRTC off.

There seems to be a mistake in EasyList.
##a[href^="//a.trust.zone/"]
should be ##a[href*="//a.trust.zone/"]
. I also guess you could make it a easylist_general_hide rule just like ##a[href^="http://affiliate.trust.zone/"]
.VPN ads are back, in the search results and torrent page. Again from Trust Zone, referred through extratorrent URLs now.

table as it also has the same class="tabledata1"
.The filters that you suggested though they block the VPN ad but they also block the "Download Torrent" row tabledata on pages.intense wrote:@intense

provide some example pages (links !) for all the cases
Sorry for the late reply, as I mentioned this is happening on all torrent listings after adding the suggested filters.intense wrote:provide some example pages (links !) for all the cases

I am using uBO but I also tested with ABP & AB with the same filters, but I get the same result (viewtopic.php?p=103189#p103189).

I removed the filters and applied them again, and it works! Something must be wrong in uBO or chrome, some filters stop working sometimes.intense wrote:still working here
These work fine :
viewtopic.php?p=103142#p103142, except that the torrent data table is messed. VPN ad loads when using these: viewtopic.php?p=103384#p103384 but torrent data is not messed.
VPN ad only in search results with second filter.
