After a little research i found the ad units are served from AdBlade.com.
They host their images first party, and use a sub domain to host them, which can simply be blocked to kill the unit as no other site images are served from this sub domain.
Simply block http://staticd.cdn.ab.a.washtimes.net/ an the issue resolved.

Best is to block the script which creates the scripts which create the DOM elements and loads the images:
Code: Select all

I am still seeing AdBlade ads on WashingtonTimes.com. Is this rule going to be merged?

Weird, I can't see it. Now for me is triggered by a script with random names and I've taken a drastic measure: https://hg.adblockplus.org/easylist/rev/c75b4251572agorhill wrote:Code: Select all

What was the random name? I am curious to see what part was random.

At this link : http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/sep/26/debate-grades-hillary-clinton-and-donald-trump-pas/
You will see an ad in the right rail below the 'Recommendeed' part.
It is not labeled as an ad but it is.
