Can Easylist be used to see a site's ad servers?

Post by sm8000 »

I need to make sure ad servers used at 411.com are not blocked for a client. Is there anyway I can see what ad servers/domains a website uses?

To be sure, I imagine they could simply add:

Code: Select all

@@411.com/
"Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it"

I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear. They don't use Firefox and installation isn't an option. Someone at another forum gave me the idea that ABP+Easylist could be used to determine which sites to unblock, but now I'm not sure if they're the right tools for the job.

I have a question for you, Rick---

What are these 'compatibility updates' to ABP that I've gotten a couple of times when checking for extension updates through the browser?

They're not regular updates, but they 'get applied' and no browser restart is required.

Thanks!
