Which filters you have removed when you added this one to EasyList from EasyTest?
I don't think generic filters like this one (filters contain only one word: ads or adv) should be on EasyList. Now any domain contain '-ads.' like superbowl-ads.com will blocked. I'm sure there are much more false positives.
-ads.

and in this page: http://www.clickz.com/clickz/news/20246 ... ers-losers
-ads-$~stylesheet blocks GooglePlus, linkedin, sharethis, and etc.

I know, but I think you would have more exception rules than blocking rules for these kind of filters.
You've removed less than 30 blocking rules but you'll need dozens of exception rules.
Problematic filters:
-ads-$~stylesheet
-ads.
-ads/
-ads?
_ads?
-ads_
_ads-
/ads_
/ads-
-ads-
_ads_
-advert-
-advert.

/advertisment-
another false positves:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/artic ... aking.html
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/artic ... jects.html
you can find more on:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/search. ... Phrase=ads
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/search. ... ase=advert
Any article in a news-site/magazine about advertisement or any site about advertisement could be a false positive.

Are you going to do something?
I suggest you replace these filter with the (less aggressive) filters EasyList has had before.
I think it's less than 100 filter you should add in order to cover the problematic filters I posted above.
Right now there are thousands of broken pages and there is no why you can whitelist them all...

For a start, I've removed the ^[-/_?\.&=]ads[-/_?\.&=]$ rules. Also see here: http://forums.lanik.us/viewtopic.php?p=36814#p36814
As far as the other rules go, they have been in EasyList for a very long time without significant problems, therefore we are going to consider their fate more carefully. We will probably only remove them very slowly and not necessarily all of them.
