On jezebel, lifehacker, kotaku etc

Code: Select all

/assets/_takeover/*
blocks 3rd party ads on the top of those sites...
its not present always but sometimes...

In the past, to make the top image show up during a campaign, it was necessary allow /_takeover/ along with:

Code: Select all

@@/static/ad_iframe.php?*%3bsz%3d640x360%3b$domain=deadspin.com|gawker.com|gizmodo.com|io9.com|jalopnik.com|jezebel.com|kotaku.com|lifehacker.com
In the other topic you said it might not be the case any more. To verify that, one would have to disable the whitelist, block the takveover path and confirm that the top image still shows up during a takeover campaign on:

http://blog.gawker.com/
http://gawker.com/
http://blog.gizmodo.com/
http://gizmodo.com/
....

I'm going to do that now, but it might take a while until I get one of those. If you would do the same (and then tell us whether it can indeed be blocked or not) it could speed things up. :-)

nope disabling that white list doesn't affect the site in any way.. its safe to remove that whitelist.. and just add " /_takeover/ "but i guess we could restrict it only to the gawker sites... jalopnik, lifehacker etc :)
