Also, distrowatch.com/images/$background,image and ||distrowatch.com^*.png|$background,image could be replaced by a single filter ||distrowatch.com^$background,image

Adblock Plus 1.3 will no longer be able to distinguish background images - $background will have the same effect as $image. It cannot reliably distinguish them already, in particular your filter ends up slowing down rendering because it disables speculative loading.
