popups of livejasmin at the pirate bay

Post by bee »

Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :idea:

This is about popups of livejasmin at the pirate bay and maybe somewhere else too :idea:
I noticed that in all pages about porn torrents :-? at the pirate bay, there is this javascript code directly injected inside the torrents pages: :D :D

Code: Select all

<!-- cat500 pbanner2 -->
<script language='JavaScript' type='text/javascript'>
var awePuShown = false;

function aweDoOpen(url)
{
if ( awePuShown === true )
{
return true;
}

var aweWindow = window.open(url, "ljPu", "toolbar,status,resizable,scrollbars,menubar,location,height=800,width=860");
window.setTimeout(window.focus, 500 );

if ( aweWindow )
{
aweWindow.blur();
awePuShown = true;
}

return aweWindow;
}

function aweSetCookie(name, value, time) {
var expires = new Date();
expires.setTime( expires.getTime() + time );
document.cookie = name + "=" + value + "; expires=" + expires.toGMTString() + "; path=/";
}

function aweGetCookie(name)
{
var cookies = document.cookie.toString().split('; ');
var cookie, c_name, c_value;

for (var n=0; n<cookies.length; n++)
{
cookie = cookies[n].split("=");
c_name = cookie[0];
c_value = cookie[1];

if ( c_name == name )
{
return c_value;
}
}

return null;
}

function aweCheckTarget(e)
{
var cookieValue = aweGetCookie("popundr");
var isRefDenied = aweCheckIsRefDenied();

if ( isRefDenied === true )
{
aweSetCookie("popundr", 1, 60*60*1000);
return ;
}

if ( cookieValue === null )
{
aweDoOpen("http://creatives.livejasmin.com/iframes/t/th/thepiratebay/thepiratebay.html?psid=thepirbaypu&pstool=123_12345_123&pstour=t1&psprogram=REVS&site=jsm");
aweSetCookie("popundr", 1, 24*60*60*1000);
}
}

function aweCheckIsRefDenied()
{
return false;
}

function aweInitPu()
{
if ( document.attachEvent )
{
document.attachEvent( "onclick", aweCheckTarget );
}
else if ( document.addEventListener )
{
document.addEventListener( "click", aweCheckTarget, false );
}

return TRUE;
}

aweInitPu();
</script>
I think you could find it in almost all torrent pages in this category (porn :D ) http://thepiratebay.org/browse/500 :roll: :-?
Well, of course that code works only with javascript enabled!!!!!!! :biggrin: and if you keep javascript enabled, there is no way to stop it :? but with JS off, it won't work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
It's probably used only in porn websites, but i ain't very sure about this :idea: :idea: :-? I noticed the whole "creatives.livejasmin.com" page is used only for advertising, so block "creatives.livejasmin.com/iframes" should be safe :D :D :idea: though i blocked the whole subdomain :D :D :D :idea:
Well, i posed this, because The Pirate Bay isn't a porn website, but it has eventually got porn banners too :surprised: :idea: :idea: yeah, so it isn't used only in porn sites!!!!!!! :surprised: :surprised: :roll:

bye!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Isn't Firefox itself supposed to prevent popups?

Blocking
creatives.livejasmin.com/iframes
Will not stop the pop up though... I guess a blank page is preferable to porn ads.

Solution here using NoScript script surrogates.

Lots of other suggestions here.

None tested by me, i don't even get any popups at that site.

Edit:
Seems like NoScript has popunder blocking surrogates by default as of v1.9.9.80. Not sure if this applies to tpb, but i have no other explanation why those popunders don't appear even when i have JS enabled.

I don't experience any pop-ups or pop-unders. Do I have to do anything specific?

Click "Download this torrent" at any porn torrent. I just confirmed that default NoScript surrogates indeed block those popunders. By disabling NoScript temporarily i got the popunder to show.

While we're on the subject of tpb:

Code: Select all

Added (https://hg.adblockplus.org/easylist/rev/b4df023af848)

Code: Select all

||thepiratebay.org/img/bar.gif
I would class any page on which adult content is specifically requested as unsuitable for EasyList, regardless of the domain that the data originates from.

That's because you're an addicted porn downloader :lol: :D :D :D :biggrin:
The popup works only once!!! :D :!: yeah, it works only for the first time, because it stores a cookie afterwards.... :idea: :idea: :arrow:

You should clear the cookies from The Pirate Bay, then go to download a torrent (in the porn section :D :D ) and click anywhere you want!!!!! :idea: :idea:
The popup will display!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :idea:
I'm usual to keep javascripts disabled (i've the QuickJava button!!!!!!!!! :D :idea: ) but the code is there to work for all the people keeping JS enabled!!!! :idea:

Yes, I am but that's beside the point. I deleted all LSOs and started a private browsing session with the same result: Nada happens.
