where I didn't get an email notification for the reply I got.
The thread was automatically subscribed (screenshot) when I submitted its initial post, as I have enabled these settings in 'Board preferences':
Edit posting defaults: -----> Notify me upon replies by default (screenshot)
Edit notification options: -> Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed (both ticked) (screenshot)
My email account in the forum is a gmail one.

This might be a bug in PHPBB I've gotten board notifications to work before but not email (never tried). In any case I've set my settings up similar to yours lets see what happens when this post gets a reply.

Yeah, no notification.
Another weird thing, after the last update it seems the forum (opening a link, posting a reply etc) is slower than before.

I got no email notification but I got an internal one. I'll file a bug with PHPBB and see when it can be fixed.

I found a setting I could change. Please test and let me know if that has any affect on the email notifications. Thanks.

Today - after long time- I got notification mails
How interesting. I updated PHPBB yesterday so I'm guessing something got fixed finally.
