This morning, sites hosted on

were made totally inaccessible via ublock /adblock . Clearing the ublock extension cache and updating the filter lists rendered them operable again, so it seems that it likely ran afoul of this list or others; Due to the temporary nature I am unable to provide a current example of this bug. I'm making the rounds among blocklists, hoping to prevent this from happening again.

Cargo.site is the current incarnation of cargocollective.com which has also had issues with EasyList (see this topic: viewtopic.php?p=45788#p45788 ), so it seemed reasonable to update my request for whitelisting with the current set of Cargo URLs.

The same reasoning also applies: Cargo does not host ads or place them in members' sites, so resources (js, images, media, fonts) that are being hosted on a Cargo URL should be whitelisted. The current URL scheme is as follows, with examples in code tags:

, hosted on Cargo, where the images on this page were not loaded with Ublock Origin and Adblock using the EasyList subscription. Deactivating and reactivating Easylist and clearing Ublock Origin's cache fixed the issue, which again should not have occurred in the first place.

Which just updated all the filter lists. I believe that's what @fanboy was talking about in his post.

Thank you for your response. I may be misunderstanding, but to me this implies a sequence of events:
1. EasyList is updated, and an overly broadly-defined filter breaks Cargo sites.
2. That overly-broad filter is then corrected in a subsequent update.
3. Forcing a list update corrects the issue.

Between (2) and (3) we see people's sites breaking for no obvious reason with no apparent recourse or indication that they need to manually update their easylist subscription. Is this sequence correct? If so, it seems like a whitelisting would be appropriate to avoid running afoul of such updates. If this sequence is not correct, I'd like to know more, or why whitelisting is not appropriate.

There is no cargo filter in easylist.
I tested the links above => nothing blocked on my side. However the platform seems to be rather slow.

We've had a rash of customer reports of blocked images, all seemingly coming from AdBlock and by proxy, Easylist. It is easy to replicate with a fresh install of the AdBlock Chrome extension.

Using both URLs in above post I don't see any requests to freight.cargo.site. For starters we'd need a way to reproduce this. The only thing I see blocked is googletagmanager.com.

I've checked all of the public pages I could see and nothing shows up coming from your site.

You can also post an issue report which will help figure out what's broken.

Yes, apparently updating the filter subscriptions does fix the issue. I have not yet because I want to see it broken. The problem is, we're getting dozens of complaints from our customers. They are coming to our support and we are telling them the problem. However, these are people's websites and they have their own visitors. So this is a cascading problem that needs to be solved at the source.

I have posted an issue with AdBlock and it appears their system tools have spotted it as well. You can check that out here.

The ABP report contains the old filter.

The users impacted by the old filter will have their list updated in 4-5 days

Keep the current images name length like now, otherwise you could have again this issue.
