Do you have uBlock Extra installed?

no ublock extra, just UBO and noscript.

The extension is useful only for Chromium-based browsers. There is no need for such an extension so far on Firefox, and thus there is no version for Firefox.

If I block sdad with either, the images wont load.

I found this:
Instart Logic "offers an ad-blocker circumvention service that replaces advertisement URLs with different URLs so that ad blockers cannot filter them"
Instart Logic is a cloud services company primarily focused on Web site and application speed and performance. The company also offers an ad-blocker circumvention service that replaces advertisement URLs with different URLs, which are subsequently translated by Instart Logic's servers, so that ad blockers cannot filter them

I see adverts from Taboola here and I'm using the latest list.

FYI - IE11 and win7 64bit.

Can Taboola ads be blocked on the next list as they've everywhere on MSN.

Thank you.

Sorry.

Here is a picture, I have put the ads in a red box.https://ibb.co/Lkg1s2X

Most news pages on MSN have these ads.

There are other ads on MSN not all Taboola and Microsoft tell you they are ads as they put the word AD in a green box at the side.

Thank you.

Why I should need to change browser but I like IE11 and it doesn't mess with my video preferences and it plays all videos with codecs now.

Problem to change is Chrome is just Google spyware and uses too many cycles and too much ram and the Google privacy says if I use any Google product even just one time they can inspect all hardware attached to my network just because I once used one Google product on my network.

So I say no to Google. Sorry you probably don't like this answer but I read in the terms and conditions of Google. Least Google are honest and say so.

Firefox not part of win7 OS so I say no to that. Again sorry. Here is a picture of more ads the list doesn't catch: https://ibb.co/WtsjByg

I like IE11 and it works for me but I don't want MS giving me all theses pages I don't want to read. I pay over £550 pa for internet in UK this is the right price but far too many ads. I don't want free internet I already pay £550 for this. It's enough to say the internet is already NOT FREE. I like your list it's very good and works well. Please put the new names on the list for everybody. Thank you.

The site works just fine in a normal browser. The only thing I'm seeing is an empty DIV after everything has been blocked:

Code: Select all

msn.com##div.deferred-loaded.stripecontainer:nth-of-type(9)
It's your prerogative which browser you choose to install. The reality is IE11 is 5 years old and it hasn't had any features for at least 3 of those years.

Last I saw you had issues updating EasyList: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=40271

Google is based on Chromium which has no Google stuff if that's what's bothering you: viewtopic.php?f=105&t=37842

FireFox is probably your best bet for a browser that supports the sites your trying to block.

Feel free to keep using IE11 all you like however you shouldn't expect that it will block much of anything. Also nobody here is likely going to support IE11 beyond what's already there.

If you want a modern browser which take care of privacy (and has also an integrated adblocker) install brave:
https://brave.com/

Sure, brave accepts other extensions (chrome extensions). The best you can choose is uBo (ublock origin).

Did you test the site in uBo ? browser ?
If you open uBo logger, refresh the page and then run the video => what media requests do you get ?

Just noticed that usatoday.com is also having ad problems. Noticeable is that while ads are not shown they are not collapsed, ie the box they are in is still visible. Seems that news outlets have figured out how to thwart ad blockers to a greater degree.
