It's maybe a 2 years, since when I can't post anything on Facebook, because something in EasyList blocking text form.
Here is a screenshot https://img.picload.org/image/dcilwpag/ ... issing.png
I am using Palemoon with Adblock Latitude, but it using EasyList filters.
Thank you in advance. I tried add Facebook website to exceptions, but this text form still missing/disappearing .
For the appear this text form I must disable Adblock extension from the browser and restart it.
facebook.com
Disable Adblock Latitude and install uBo (ublock origin legacy - see the link bellow), then do your tests

For Adblock Latitude, report here https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=18749
@intense The link says 404 Not Found. But thanks, I wrote to the Palemoon forum (link from smed79) and I hope, that this problem is solvable in Adblock Latitude.
here the new link:
https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/relea ... y-1.16.4.7
give up Latitude, install uBo

Installing uBlocko, Adblock Plus, ou AdGuard may fix the problem for one user.
To help ALL adblock userS (Adblock Latitude users in this case), the most appropriate is that the problem be reported and resolved by dev.
Sure smed79, sure. The users have to wait years to see improvements (ABP issues, Latitude issues, etc).
The users have to know what is best for them. In this case Latitude is a primitive adblocker, uBo legacy is the best.

So this problem is not in some filter, but in ADB Latitude extension?
Disable Latitude, install uBo and test FB (and other sites you usually visit).
Hmm, on Palemoon, they said me, that this problem is in the EasyList. So, ... what can I do now (except install uBlock) ?
I already told you what to do. If you prefer keeping your issues it's your choice.
I know, but why is there Adblock's extensions? In original Adblock Plus is the same issue or not? Both using same EasyList filter list.
You're right both extensions contain EasyList subscripts, however ABP comes with something like 2 or 3 filter lists by default. uBO ships with at least half a dozen. uBO cultivates their own filter lists which fix what EasyList authors can't (due to liability concerns or other reasons).
Most extension sites (AMO or Chrome Store) both sort extensions by downloads and keywords. People are more likely to search for adblock then anything else thus is shows up first. If I had a penny for every time one of us has recommended uBO over ABP I could run this site for the next 1000 years for free.
Not surprised they'd say that.

Hello, hope I have put this problem in the right section.
When using the filter Fanboy's Annoyance List and browsing Facebook messages (facebook.com/messages) when I hover the mouse over the messages I have sent someone they now just disappear but ones received stay fine. I have tried with all the other subscriptions disabled but it only happens with Fanboy’s Annoyance List enabled.
Thank you.

According to the log the rule
gets triggered on the first hover but I had no luck with disabling it so far.
Code: Select all
facebook.com##div > div[id][class][style*=" background-color: rgb"]
My friend's facebook post using the "Townhall" / contact-your-representative tool is blocked with EasyList, and it doesn't show up in my feed, and if I try to view it directly, it briefly loads but then disappears (due to being blocked).
It's being blocked by this rule:
In her case, the markup does have "hyperfeed_story_id" and it contains a link to this URL:
Notice the "%22is_sponsored%22%3Afalse" there, which decodes to "is_sponsored":false, indicating that this is not a sponsored post; nonetheless, it has the string "is_sponsored" which means it matches the rule and gets blocked.
