If you're running uBlock Origin or Adblock Plus, then it won't work for you, as the extension will block the ads for you before Chrome gets the chance to do it.

I assume those who run a mobile version of Chrome can take advantage of this though.

Android Adblockers such as Adguard for Android, DNS66, Blockada and many more if you Google.

Today Chrome updated to 65.0.3325.146 and now I have the adblocker built-in.
