Hi all,
it appears that EasyList's filters are incorrectly blocking content of the site I represent, the Italian version of Forbes magazine (forbesitalia.com). Multiple reports are saying that the main content stream completely disappears when using AdBlock.

Please see the following screenshots. Without AdBlock:

With AdBlock:

As you imagine, the issue is causing strong negative feedback from our readership.

We all hope this can be solved as soon as possible.

Thanks for your help!
Arrivederci

You need an exception

Code: Select all

forbesitalia.com#@#.ad-row
Better if easylist italia maintainer will add it to the italian list => Khrin

Thanks a lot for your feedback.
Should we contact @Khrin ourselves, or can you do it for us?

Have a good day

Hi,
actually we can't access our CSS sheets from Italy, but I passed on your feedback to our American developers.
They should look into it soon.

I will keep you posted,
Thanks

Hi intense, I have a feedback from the Forbes US team, unfortunately not a good one.
I quote our chief of operations:

"Discussed this with our head of Dev. Unfortunately we ran into the same issue with our site in the past and the only way to resolve it is for the filters list to whitelist. The logic of the stream itself is why the class is called ad, so we are not able to modify that at this time.

It usually only takes a couple of weeks for adblockers to update."

Can you help us anyway? I assume @Khrin can?

Thanks, have a good day.

Hi again, Forbes Italy is still experiencing AdBlock-related issues.
Our American licensee says that the blocker is reading single articles as ads.
This is what they said:

"AD Block is seeing the div class in the page as “sponsored” – we aren’t seeing Ad Block do this on the US site, likely because of legacy. Since Forbes Italia is a newer site, Ad Block needs to whitelist for this particular issue to ensure articles load correctly".

Do you think you can help us?
Thanks a lot,

ciao
