NSFW imgchili.net

Post by ReyKenobi »

1. Opens an ad-tab on clicking the central image.
2. Ads present below the image cannot be filtered by element picker.
3. I used to be able to right-click on the image and select "View Image' to view it without ads. But now it opens pop-up windows on right-click. Seems to be opening a new one every time I right-click, upto 7 times before the 'View Image' option appears.

Example:

Code: Select all

It worked for (2) only. (1) and (3) are still there; that is, pop-ups on right-click and ad-tabs on left-click are still present.

Using ubo too. Here is the screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/oq5iis5.png

I had to right-click 7 times before the right-click menu showed up.

I have visited a few websites which redirect to me https://suspents.info with an iframe of the URL I originally visited.

Example URLs:

Code: Select all

https://vidlox.tv/b0vz6ri0on4s
http://imgchili.net/show/76192/76192650_12587580_328.jpg (NSFW)
Is this due to some malware/adware on my PC or does someone else also see a similar behaviour? If redirection is on the website itself can it be stopped?

Only chrome, an anti adblock measures... the sites redirect you to suspents.info to escape from adblock.

test this filter

Code: Select all

@@||arrassley.info^$image,ping,xmlhttprequest
or

Code: Select all

@@||arrassley.info^$third-party
or

Code: Select all

@@.info^$image,ping,xmlhttprequest,domain=imgchili.net

smed79 Both filters work. Though a better fix was recently added in uBO filters which stops the inline-scripts that redirects as well as "fingerprints" the user's browser.

This domain is part of the RoughTed anti adb malvertising campaign and there seem to be a lot of these redirection domains with fake Whois info involved.

This was a very large malvertising campaign uncovered by Malwarebytes in May this year:
https://blog.malwarebytes.com/cybercrime/2017/05/roughted-the-anti-ad-blocker-malvertiser/

They seem to be specifically targeting adblock users, who had installed adblock to be safe from these types of malware in the first place. This raises the question "is installing an adblock more unsafe than not not having one nowadays :?"?
