Extension: Advanced BBCode Box 3

Post by smed79 »

Our old bbcode editor is largely enough for our needs and sure we will never use it for writing poetry

... as _here_, this editor will auto embed third party stuff even if you disable the auto parse of urls.

@Lanik Please Keep it Simple ;-)

The only new requests I'm seeing are from CloudFlare which I'm using anyway. So far it stays.

So, no way to turn off embedding with the new editor?

None of the stuff shown in smed79 screenshot is allowed here. So no there's no way to turn off something that doesn't exist.

First you have to post a pastebin url for example to see the embed iframe.

At least, can you disable this editor for me?

Looks like a couple of calls are being made to pastebin.com to show the embed block. As long as we're not calling 30 different places to show it I'm fine with that.

This is a global and not a per user setting.

I had to put BBC news link into code tags to stop the auto embed, can something be done about this ?
