I started to get reports that links in our emails were not working and in looking into it I noticed that when I disabled EasyList in adblock they seemed to work. I was wondering how I could debug what got our domain onto this list and what steps would be required to get off it.
EasyList is currently blocking any links set in emails via the email tool SendFox.com.
SendFox is an ESP (email service provider), like Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, and similar.
SendFox links are structured as follows: https://sendfox.com/track/click/3o8944/1ydqo1
Tested on AdBlock Plus on macOS Chrome 71 beta. On click, it immediately opens the window/tab and then closes it.
When the EasyList filter is disabled, there are no issues. Also, when copy and pasting the link, there are no issues (even with EasyList enabled).
This is a standard email link that is redirected by SendFox. Similar to how Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, and every other tool out there redirects links to measure open and click rate.
