Hello,

Inline scripts are being blocked for diffen.com which is breaking the site's functionality.

It's a wiki that lets you edit site content. But those features are broken. e.g. see this page with/without ABP:

Other stuff is also broken. Like YouTube embeds on the articles don't work because the "src" for those iFrames is populated via inline JavaScript.

Sorry, I don't understand. Are you saying I should add that piece of code somewhere or is that the offending piece of code inside EasyList?

Thank you. I'm the site owner and was wondering if you could delete the rule that blocks inline scripts. Ad blocking is fine but blocking all inline scripts breaks site functionality.

Have you removed the junk adscripts that were embedded into the site? It was added for good reason.

I keep experimenting with different ad providers. You can block all the ads by blocking the ad providers. But if you block Javascript completely for my site then the site functionality breaks.

Maybe you should concentrate on the content of the site, instead of trying to punish/counter adblock users. I'm happy to leave the filter as is..because of this.

How am I punishing adblock users? On the contrary, you're punishing adblock users by keeping this filter in place.

I'm requesting you to allow inline scripts so that adblock users see the same content (NOT ads) as other users. e.g. So that they are able to see the embedded YouTube videos. Or get the information when using our search feature. Or use the site's wiki features. I am reaching out here because the experience of users with adblock is worse due to this filter.

Completely banning inline scripts is like taking a hatchet when you need a scalpel. You can simply filter out all ad company scripts and it will have no impact on site functionality.

I think I understand now. You're against the adblock-countering providers. I did use one of them in the past but have since removed them. Please allow inline scripts for the site.

Bump: Can EasyList please whitelist inline Javascript for the site? It's breaking site functionality and hurting Adblock users. There is no adblock circumvention in place any more.
