Recent change to EasyPrivacy that seems to have broken vBulletin Threadloom.

Code: Select all

https://xenforo.com/community/
Haven't been able to find what to whitelist to resolve it, though.

Here's the Chrome log:

Provide example page / forum (eventually if needed a test account)
Explain how Threadloom is working with such forums

Hi @intense:

This is Paul from Threadloom. We provide site search and email newsletter services for forums. Forums install a plug-in that enables these services for their site.

Some of our customers reported that uBlock is breaking their page renders. Example (which will also give you more information about our search service):

Can you remove us from your blocklist?

Paul

I don't see anything we're blocking that'd limit website functionatily (in easylist or easyprivacy), which subscriptions are you using?

I think it might be this CL:

No: in that CSP filter, the scripts from *.threadloom.com are allowed (not blocked)

Hi intense

Wanted to follow up with Paul's inquiry about threadloom.com being removed from the list so the functionality can be restored for the forums the plugin is installed on.

Here is an image of when I use uBlock Orgin

You can also test this as a guest - try the keyword trumpet

It seems the page is broken (stylesheet blocked)

Does this filter help you ?

Code: Select all

@@||threadloom.com^$stylesheet

That does a fair bit to help - is there anyway to unblock some of the JS code that will help it look and function properly?

Easyprivacy list authors need to know what function is broken.
Provide all the necessary details to test it.

If it's about tracking, well, I doubt such thing will be unblocked.

We do have a GA js, which I can understand goes against tracking. Is it possible to unblock anything, but the ga.js file?
The JS files that we need are required for working within the addon - for drop downs, and even the links don't seem to be functioning as they return to the homepage.

Thank you for the CSS fix.

if there is anything I can do to answer or provide more documentation around the JS that prohibits functionality, please let me know.

@fanboy Is there anyway to get the JS function reviewed? Understand about the /ga/- but the
https://cdn.threadloom.com/js/module-app.min.js - is required to use features like go to the next page, or filtering search results.

I would appreciate any help or guidance you can offer in this case.

Adjusted, https://github.com/easylist/easylist/co ... a911b4c7f7

Ensure no other tracking from the domain, otherwise it'll be reinstated.
