affiliprint.com

Post by affili_lars »

Hi there,

Affiliprint is an offline advertising network so although there are no ads on our sites words like "advertiser" occur in the links and on the pages, too.
Could you please unblock affiliprint.com/advertiser and affiliprint.com/api so we can ensure reliable web pages?

Thank you in advance. If you have further questions feel free to contact me here or via E-Mail.
Best regards

Hi fanboy,
we observed issues on sites with "?advertiser_id=" in the link. These occur on {de,nl,be}.affiliprint.com or more general *.affiliprint.com (because we're going to expand our international business right now). When we make XHR-requests from our customer portal de.affiliprint.com/advertiser to de.affiliprint.com/advertiser/... there are also problems.
If you need anything else, please let me know.
Best wishes

Could just change the "?advertiser_id=", it would be easier.

Hi fanboy,

I think your suggestion won't be easier, because not only the link, but much more (databases, API-requests, ...) would have to be changed. If you are looking for an easy solution, you could just add a general exception for affiliprint.com, because there are and there never will be any advertising on the pages. Our business is offline advertising. That's the reason why we do have customers called advertisers. Our customer portal (the pages we are talking about) is used for coordination not to spread online ads.

Best regards
Lars

Maybe you guys should stop using generic ad terms? its the easier fix than constantly complaining.

We use ad terms because we work with ads. But as mentioned no ads interesting for ad blockers. So why don't you just add an exception instead of expecting that we change the whole system?

Some sites are easier than others, this site seems to touch too much. Of just make a div element to suggest to disable any Adblock filtering.

my colleague from the development wanted to join the discussion, but your registration process is f***ed up unfortunately
(https://image.ibb.co/jhK4vJ/image_2.png).

So he made a pull request for you on github: https://github.com/easylist/easylist/pull/1379

And to make it clear: We are doing PRINT-advertising with printed flyers in magazines, newspapers and parcels NO ONLINE ADS. That's why it's called AffiliPRINT.

Okay now I have two questions:
1. why didn't you just accept the pull request? You can't be serious telling me one click is too much work.
2. Where is the difference between our case and this one? viewtopic.php?f=64&t=40590
