omgpm.com

Post by omg007 »

Optimise Media have tracking on a client's website that is being incorrectly blocked for omgpm.com. You can see this being blocked on https://www.starquik.com/

All our banner/ad serving is hosted on the paths: /bs/ or /banners/ - can the rule be updated to include only these paths instead of blocking the entire domains? This is valid tracking and should not be blocked. It's seriously impacting our clients both advertisers and publishers ability to capture data.

EasyList filters must remove adverts, although it is acceptable for them to incidentally remove tracking.

I understand that it must remove banners and happy to be transparent on this. Is it possible to adjust the rule so it blocks just the banners as detailed above as opposed to the entire domain?

Thanks

Hi. Is it possible to take another look at this please and see if we can modify the rule so its less aggressive?

Blocking /bs/ or /banners/ on the domain would achieve the goal of removing adverts.

Many thanks

Hi,

Is it possible that this could be moved to the EasyPrivacy list instead please? https://easylist.to/easylist/easyprivacy.txt

Thanks

Thanks for your response.

omgpm.com is an India based affiliate network. It seems that most other affiliate networks are listed on easyprivacy?
eg. ||admitad.com^$third-party

But it looks like there are also banner/ad specific rules on easylist. eg.

Code: Select all

||ad.admitad.com/banner/$third-party
||ad.admitad.com/f/$third-party
||ad.admitad.com/fbanner/$third-party
||ad.admitad.com/j/$third-party
Is it please possible to apply the same logic for omgpm.com and to block ads on easylist as per below and then add the rule to easyprivacy?

Code: Select all

||omgpm.com/bs/$third-party
||omgpm.com/banners/$third-party
Please let me know if you require any further info.

Thanks

It was moved from Easyprivacy to Easylist. https://github.com/easylist/easylist/commit/d076502100

If you supply a sample url, we can review it. No guarantees either way.

You can look at

Code: Select all

https://track.in.omgpm.com/?PID=9170&AID=156872
Also a banner/ad URL here:

Code: Select all

https://track.in.omgpm.com/i/?CRID=157077&AID=156872&PID=9170&WID=32679
Let me know if you require anything further.

Thanks

You'd need to click the Get Cashback or Get Offer button - at that point it will redirect via our URL so that we can record and fulfil the cashback for the user.

Happy to discuss on a DM if you require more info?

I've clicked on both, I have not seen omgpm domain. I've given up on this. Not worth trying to troubleshoot this anymore.
