An enjoyable website called Bored Panda at

Code: Select all

has been blocked by I think your adblocker. To unblock it, I attempted to whitelist it, but the block remained. I was advised to come here for assistance by the website. :?

This site has no affiliation with any adblocker: rules#about

Please be specific what's blocked? Which browser? Adblocker?

The Browser is Firefox 56.0 (64 bit), OS is Linux Mint 17.2, and the Adblocker is Adblock Plus. I searched this suite for Bored Panda and found nothing. As for what's blocked, I see for a moment the website Bored Panda at https://www.boredpanda.com/ then a moment later a notice I copy/pasted here.

Something interfered with this website loading

This could be a temporary problem with your network, or due to your adblocker

Try:

Check your internet connection and reload the page
If you are using an adblocker disable it by clicking on the adblock icon in your browser toolbar
If the problem persists, consider leaving a message on the adblock user forums

Your link to this website was inbeded in "adblock user forums".

You should update to the last FF 57.
You didn't tell us your ABP version. Update FF and then ABP to the last (3.0.1)

If you whitelisted correctly boredpanda => disable all other addons and try again. FF 56 is full of bugs and incompatibilities between old addons and new ones.

Well - I'd create a totally clean / new profile, install only ABP and test again.

Or - alternative - disable completely all the addons (from addons page) and see if uBo (ublock origin) is better for you.

My big doubt is why even whitelisting the site you still have issues. Did you check in settings / advanced if the whitelisted site is there ? Check whitelist sites but also "my list filters"

You should have only one adblocker in use at any given time or they'll conflict and cause issues just like you saw above.
