matchedbettingoz.com

Post by davidface »

In the tutorial some of the outbound affiliate links are blocked, it is an essential part of the functionality of the tutorial, and it can not be completed without the link in step 2 displaying correctly. The website's core functionality (the tutorial) is broken without it.

Link to the tutorial is here

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best,

Dave

When you arrive at second step just post here what's blocked in that page (see in the logger of your adblocker)

Hi Guys,

I have been out of action since July, I hope it is not too late to get this fixed here? Using the inspect - Adblock element on the page I can see that the blocked item is called the following.

matchedbettingoz.com
ELEMHIDE
##a[href^="http://record.sportsbetaffiliates.com.au/"]
EasyList

Is this what you need?

Thanks again for your help

It is a large blue button located just above the line. Once I disable Adblock in chrome I can see it.

"Note: If you are from WA, NSW, SA, VIC then just sign up first but do not deposit"

Is it possible to post a screenshot here?

You could upload the image at imgur.com then post here the link.

Should I login to that site to see that link ? In this case just provide a test account.

The blue button at the bottom of the image is what is not showing up, it's happening across all the site when I use that link with text, button or an image it disappears off the page completely with Adblock.

I really appreciate your help.

In addition, logging in should not be necessary as I'm not logged in now and can see it with Adblock disabled. The button in the image I am referring to is the one that says "To sign up for the bonus | Click here"

In your custom filters.

- for ABP:
https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=42013

- for uBo, options, "my filters" tab, add your filters, click "apply changes".

- for AB (from getadblock)
see How to add custom filters
from https://help.getadblock.com/support/sol ... om-filters

I copied and pasted the code matchedbettingoz.com#@#[href^="http://record.sportsbetaffiliates.com.au/"] into the add your own filter section. I then cleared my cache, relaunched the browser and it is still blocking the element.

Will adding this filter will only whitelist these elements for me? I need to whitelist it for my readers also.

I asked you to test the filter, then the easylist authors will add the filter in the official list ... when they will see the thread (if they consider it's the best approach).

If does not work for you provide all the necessary info:

- browser (version)
- adblocker (version)
- filter lists
- disable all other extensions and test again

Google Chrome - Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Adblock Plus (Can't find version number, installed the latest version today)
Filter lists - EasyList
All other extensions disabled.

Note: the adblocker is showing "0 ads blocked" on the page when I load it. However the elements with the link to sportsbet disappear and the inspect element shows it blocked adblock. Not sure if this helps

That new code works, thanks for that. So now is just a matter of waiting for the Easylist authors to see this thread an add the domain to the whitelist? Do you know if this is a weekly or monthly thing or is there any average waiting time?

Your a legend mate, thanks for having patience and talking me through it, genuinely appreciated!

All the authors are volunteers, so ...just waiting for when and how will fix the issue.

Is the a rough timeline for when this might be updated, I am concerned this thread is just going to die and it will never be whitelisted. This is killing my tutorial :-(
