Hi guys, I am the owner of Listverse.com and I was hoping we could get Listverse removed from this list. In 2015 I ran a Yavli plugin on the site for a couple of months trial after finally giving in to seventeen emails from Yavli trying to convince me that AdBlockers don't mind it. I was a little uncomfortable with their plugin so I removed it two months later. We had not run any ad block networks prior to Yavli and haven't run any since. We are also in the process of reducing our ad footprint entirely and working on a new design of the site.

If you want more info I'm happy to oblige, but in the meantime is it possible please to get Listverse removed from the list?

Thanks,
Jamie

So you guys have blocked all images on the site (viralnova.com).

https://github.com/easylist/easylist/co ... 32fdcf269e

Reason being you claim a whitelist is being exploited; that is the domain our images are hosted on. You have simply blocked all third party images, whitelisted the image CDN domain and then say a whitelist is being exploited if we serve ads (first party) on the same domain as our images.. this makes a whole bunch of sense!

Your users seem to be getting pretty fed up with this, il send them here for you guys to deal with as i've no interest in helping sort your mess out.

You decided to let Yavli use your domains to host ads. Just remove Yavli, and we'll remove all the related filters.

Hi,

I believe that Adblock and ADblock Plus which using your list are blocked our regular content of our sites:

Robotics.news
Medicine.news

The Most Popular Articles and Social Network buttons of these sites are blocked.

Can you help to delist our web sites?

Thank you,
George

I have been directed to this thread from: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=37325

However there a 221 messages to go through, i have no idea what i am meant to be looking for. How do i fix this issue, "just add (as custom filter)" makes no sense?

Jim

How do I reply to your question without making another thread since you locked it viralnova.com?

Yes I did read the thread, and stand by my comment it is very poor user experience for ABP users, how are we supposed to know to come to this forum, read the #rules and find/apply the solution. I am sure I am in a huge minority by coming here to try and find a scalable resolution for all users so they don’t have my headache.

Best

Victoria, wasn't this discussed previously? viewtopic.php?p=118633#p118633

We don't need to create separate threads either.

Code: Select all

http://media.galaxant.com/000/498/801/kcxefieldlite-dragunow3065a-a8eis.png
And even now, Yavli still hosts on your server.

Hello,

I am the CTO for yourtango.com and I was hoping we could get YourTango removed from this list. In 2016, we ran a Yavli plugin on the site for a couple of months as a test. The test didn't work out for us so we removed the plugin.

We do not have Yavli or any other adblock network running on our site. Last few months, we have been optimizing our pages for a good user experience and working on a new design of the site with optimal number of ads.

If you want more information I'm happy to oblige, but in the meantime I'd appreciate if we can get YourTango removed from the list?

Thanks and appreciate your help and quick response!

The 3rd party scripts are being blocked on YourTango.

Again: what real functionality, what script (not advertising one) are you talking about ?

I'm not sure what you're asking, but as site owner I'm just trying to follow what fanboy outlined in his Yavli post here: https://easylist.to/2015/08/19/issues-w ... ising.html

In that post, fanboy said 'If you're a web developer of any of these sites, we're happy to remove any filters related to your site if Yavli Advertising is removed from your site.' I've seen that post and guidance quoted multiple times for webmasters on this thread and, when followed, the easylist authors corrected the issue.

I removed Yavli Advertising from my site ages ago and I'm now just asking to have my site (YourTango.com) removed from the Yavli-related filters.

Thanks in advance to easylist authors for the removal of YourTango.com from Yavli-related filters.

There is a blanket rule that is blocking all scripts running on certain sites, but I have also noticed exclusions that allow some to go through. Is it possible to get rumble.com added to the exclusions as blocking it prevents these sites from using the video content hosted on there.

I would suggest making an exclusion for: rumble.com/embed.* along with all sub-domains.

Example code that is being blocked:

Code: Select all

<script type="text/javascript" src="https://rumble.com/embedJS/u77uw.v1oj6b/"></script>
Example found here:

Code: Select all

Can you do it without specifying target domain as other sites use this player as well? Also if that script includes another script for the UI, does it still get blocked in this case?

conservativetribune.com domain was added due to Yavli adnetwork being deployed on your site. Has this changed?

About a week ago or so started having issues with viewing and posting comments on their website, as in cannot view comments or post. They use Disqus for all that and other websites using the same I have no problems, sites like Brietbart. So why isn't Brietbart blocked? Have been a visitor and poster for therightscoop.com for several years and have always seemed legitimate to me and quite puzzled why they were added. Is it due to the sources of some ads they serve up?

In any case I would appreciate their removal from this list.
