A final point on my previous "censoring' of that site.

You know guys, you can't actually censor a person who openly wants to be censored. He doesn't want you to see what he has to say on his site, but he wants you to see what he wants to say OFF his site. It is almost like a 3rd-party ad popup that you can't get rid of (like some of those old porn site popups).... {in tv announcer voice} "Tired of Firefox doing this to you? If you act right now well send you code ........ operators are standing by". This could fall under the subject of ads or annoying content ... but I will keep that removed (it seems to be more fun after people actually read it).

eg:
I type in jacklewis.net and instead I am taken to whyfirefoxisblocked.com. This is not where I wanted to be. The webmaster has redirected me to what I would deem "totally untrusted". He, himself chooses for you not to read anything on his site because he does not want you to be able to see his material (self-censorship). But then he becomes angry because he DOES want you to read another page on a totally different domain that you were not going to originally (an untrusted 3rd-party annoyance). Even though I have now removed my 'censorship' block for that domain, my question is "why should I (or anyone else) have to read that page"? The man himself doesn't want to be seen, so why would he care? You can't pick and choose who you are censoring .. and what certain people can or can not see. HE is the one that is censoring, not me. I was just helping him do what he wanted all along .... to not be seen by us.

That filter is still removed .. I just wanted for others to try to see my side of why I did it in the first place.

I agree Rick, I still say the diffanition doesn't fit for censorship. But whatever people want to believe they will. You did the right thing though, keeping peoples trust in your filterset is more important then this turd.

Did you read the comments at digg? If I was him I would be a little afraid for my safety.

Yeah Dogg. I spent most of the night reading at DSLR. Slahdot, Digg, Reddit, here, and on the ABP forum.

Thousands of the same type of remarks. Absolutely incredible! I guess Digg took down his site last night.

I'm a little late on this but I might as well say I don't think this should be blocked

I only actually went to this page to see 'why firefox is blocked' because it was linked to from somewhere else, but it just loaded up a blank page until i disabled abp. I think it's more valuable for users to be able to see why they're blocked from a site than a blank page.

It's the site owner's right to try to block firefox/abp users if he wants, just like it's our right to try to block ads if we want, or not visit his site.

After seeing the way things went these last 24 hours, I 100% agree that users should be allowed to see that.
