channel4.com video adverts

Here you should report unblocked ads, trackers, social media items, annoyances or leftovers from blocked content.

channel4.com video adverts

Post by MadeInMachines »

All of the tv shows now play all of the ads in full when previously adblock used to stop them all. I've tried this is chrome, safari and firefox and all have the same issue.

Any chance of solving this as not having to watch them saves ages and is far less annoying? Would be sweet!
Thanks

Can you please create an Adblock Plus issue report (once the ad started playing) and the post the link here? You do that by clicking on the red 'ABP' icon in Firefox and selecting "Report issue on this page".

Did you fix it for firefox. ABP seems to be working for 4OD in firefox now but not for google chrome (my main browser). Unfortunately I don't have a report issue on this page option for chrome

I didn't do anything.

Are you saying that the ads are blocked on Firefox? If yes, the reason that they aren't blocked in Chrome is because the current release versions of Adblock Plus and/or Chrome doesn't support blocking video ads yet. You can wait (I think starting with Chrome 17, it will work)
OR
install the Chrome 17 development version: http://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel
and the latest experimental build of Adblock Plus: https://adblockplus.org/en/development- ... stallation

Yes, the other day firefox and safari weren't blocking video ads but now they are. Any idea when Chrome 17 and its video blocking ABP will be ready roughly?

I'm too lazy to look it up for you now, but I think 17 should move to Beta very soon (from then I think it's 5-6 weeks to stable, but I stand corrected). Adblock Plus will probably be updated even before it is released.
