as of the morning of Feb 6, 2019 the sfgate.com web site is back to serving up ads, pop ups and such.
When I use adblock to inspect an ad I see code like this:
Code: Select all
||c-8oqtgrjgwu46x24pvx78enf-cx2ecmcockjfx2epgv.g00.sfgate.com/
g00
/3_c-8yyy.uhicvg.eqo_/

(I've put breaks in the line for clarity)
This was addressed at the end of the year but apparently they have changed something to break the blocking.

I am using Firefox 65 (64bit). I checked this morning using my MacPro and some of yesterday's bad behavior (as viewed from my Windows 10 machine) is not apparent. However the site still loads very jerky and much slower than it did just the day before yesterday.
I live in Santa Cruz about 70 miles south of San Francisco, if geo location is being used to serve me a different page source.

I installed UBlock for Firefox this morning on my MacBook Pro and disabled AdblockPlus.
The sfgate . com site works correctly now. Thanks for your help.
