Hi, ads on the right column next to articles on the san diego union tribune's website aren't blocked. Here is an example:
http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/business/biotech/sd-me-scripps-salk-ucsd-science-20180607-story.html

I'm using chrome 67, and have the latest easylist filter rules. Also the video/banner (it changes) ad at the very top isn't blocked.

Install uBO-Extra https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... ffkjpaplco and report back.
