Each of the articles on the site have incredibly resource intensive ads on them. With the adblocker turned on, a popover appears, preventing users from navigating the article. If I turn the adblocker off, the site consumes so many resources that I can't scroll through the page. This is my city's newspaper of record, so it's not a site I can just avoid.
