Code: Select all

So onwatchseries.to (which is watchseries current domain) has a page come up that's covered with ads.
You have to click the "click now" button to get to whatever viewer you've selected (in this care Gorillavid), however the button usually pops open a new tab the first time (as all the ad windows do too). Usually after the first popup, the button works fine.

I haven't been able to get these ads to stay blocked. Every time I watch a new episode I have to deal with it again.

Sorry, I'm still new to this. How exactly do I update my filter? Do I just copy and paste that info into the customize section?

The owner keeps changing domains to escape blockage, would a regex expression based filter work ?

Hi,
I am new to this forum and hope you will be patient as I become familiar with the rules :-)

I am having an issue with ABP that I have not experienced before.

I start out on this page http://mywatchseries.to/episode/the_handmaid_s_tale_s1_e1.html
(For information purposes only, mywatchseries.to used to be onwatchseries.to)

I usually choose thevideo.me link and it works fine. However today it started giving me 3 to 4 popups/redirects and the content plays from an entirely different site: https://govered.info

This new site has banners and other stuff embeded in the video content screen which makes the viewing unenjoyable and/or impossible.

Can you help with this issue?

Please let me know if you require add'l information.

I appreciate your time and support.

Warmly,
Amy

use only 1 adblocker: uBo or ABP

when you choose streamin.to ==> anti adblock blockadblock:

add

Code: Select all

@@||streamin.to^$generichide

Re: onwatchseries.to

add also in uBo (use only uBo)

Thank you for your response and effort to help me.

I tried using ABP as well as ABP development build alone, with updated filters. Without uBo being activated, I was immediately redirected to other sites. In addition, many elements with links are now visible on the pages. Is there any way to block individual elements using ABP / ABP development build? The only option I found on ABP was to block the entire page and there seems to be no option on the ABP development build. Is this accurate?

Example:
I start out on this page

Code: Select all

http://mywatchseries.to/episode/the_handmaid_s_tale_s1_e1.html
I select 2nd thevideo.me link

Code: Select all

http://mywatchseries.to/cale.html?r=aHR0cHM6Ly90aGV2aWRlby5tZS94eHNkbDNjcWZyMG8=
When I click "Click Here to Play", I immediately get redirected to

Code: Select all

http://update2new.clickforsafeandbest2updating.info./?pcl=ofnt2sEkil_mFqIKhcctHtKKVdB5FFHwj56SeqguoO-95jhNlCk_9Teyex1QcKZNjWFgAVxUVy7GNG-T7WqgfQ..&cid=307904366383&sid=931472&v_id=evp4MWN08gkBXthRgEWMdZs5cC-kZMj-EiifE9OAdbs.
Please let me know if I can provide further information and/or testing :-)

Amy

Thank you for your response and effort to support me.

I have tested your suggestions for thevideo.me and streamin.to websites with uBo alone.

I am getting the same result with thevideo.me. However when I tested the same issue on primewire.ag. I was able to see in my history that a link to
the requested video on thevideo.me actually exists (ie, https://thevideo.me/7c5h3jw4rpa7) and yet I am still being hijacked to the govered.info video instead ie,

Code: Select all

https://govered.info/c29haloSDRIeZQYdDVcyBxsRGX9ALkRYHFZdJx4yFhkIDj8cQQwPf0EpVglvG1wLHW4BHwBd
Do you have any other suggestions on how I can keep my video selection from being hijacked?

In the govered.info video, the viewing is less desirable for the following reasons:
1) cinema on/off in the middle of the screen
2) full screen no longer functioning properly
3) thick advertising banner always displayed, even in full screen with casting

On the streamin.to website, your suggestion eliminated my issue.

Please let me know if you require add'l information and/or testing.

Warmly,
Amy

-probably it's nothing to do, govered is the same thevideo.me
-full screen it's working for me
- I see no "thick advertising banner"
- as for the popups (closed by uBo - but you have to click 3-4 times ...to get the video) perhaps gorhill could suggest some filter ..

Thank you for your quick response.

I am surprised reading that thevideo.me and govered.info are the same.

When I try https://thevideo.me/7c5h3jw4rpa7 on firefox and/or safari, the video plays as normal from thevideo.me website.
It is only on Chrome that I am redirected to the govered.info website. Are you saying that uBo can not prevent such a redirection on Chrome?

In addition, is there any way for me to upload a screenshot of the banner I am referencing?

I again appreciate your time, clarity, and support.

Amy

if you add these filters the redirect will be stopped

Not need to whitelist ?ads_pop I think it's used to check adblock for reward.

To stop the redirection (or the popup) i need :

some site functionality now breaks and I am still getting those popups and some ads.

Code: Select all

ewatchseries.to##a[href*="/ads?key="]
ewatchseries.to###container_player
ewatchseries.to##.sp-leader
ewatchseries.to##.shd_button
ewatchseries.to##a[href*="redirect.php?"]
worked.

Hi everyone,
I am having a new issue with a popup on dwatchseries.to.

The popup looks like this https://ibb.co/j8Vic6

An example is

Code: Select all

http://dwatchseries.to/episode/the_closer_s3_e2.html
Choose a gorillavid.in link, although it seems to happen on all of the links.
It only happens one time on any given page and once I decline to install the suggested extension, the page works as normal.

I have restarted my computer, deleted my cache, and updated my uBo filters, and none of it has helped.

Do you have any other suggestions or strategies that might help?

Thank you for your time and support.

Warmly,
Amy
