Sorry.

This site detects uBlock Origin and displays an annoying popover and banner. (It doesn't do this if I run uBlock Origin in Chrome.) If you wait long enough, it will also play a "farting" sound.

I'm using the default filters that came with uBlock Origin for Firefox when I installed it today: uBlock filters, uBlock filters badware risks, uBlock filters privacy, uBlock filters resource abuse, uBlock filters unbreak, Easylist, Easyprivacy, Malware domain list, malware domains, and Peter Lowe's ad and tracking server list.

I'm also using two custom filters I got here to avoid detection by Outlook/Hotmail:

Code: Select all

outlook.live.com##[class*=_2qPmszDwBfYpF7PO9Mn3KN]
outlook.live.com##[class*=_254GqExCxnOxmPy7kKATP2]
I'm trying to use Firefox as my daily driver instead of Chrome but uBlock Origin and Adblock Plus are detected by some of the sites I commonly visit.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I see that there has been another reply, but I'll leave this here for completeness.

Works perfectly!

for outlook your filters only hide the warning and are using random elements, you could try (still hiding filters..):
viewtopic.php?f=62&t=39270&hilit=outloo ... om#p128941

Thank you for the suggestion.

I added the three filters you proposed at the bottom of the referenced thread and didn't notice a difference in the results (I really don't know what I should be looking for). Regardless, there is still the add for Office360 in the lower left hand corner of the page.

Probably you are using outlook beta, try these ones:

Code: Select all

outlook.live.com##BUTTON[class]:has-text(Upgrade)
outlook.live.com##span[class]:has(A[href$="ad-free-outlook"])

That did it! I replaced the three filters with the two above. No warning in the side bar, no Office 360 ad in the lower left corner. And yes, I was using the beta. Apologies for not noting that.

Thank you!

@FrogFan please don't mix between threads. I mean, ask for live.com filters in live.com thread not in buickforums.com thread.
