Hi,
Please add adjust.com to the blocklist. This is an advertising related firm[a]. Use case I have seen is through their app.adjust.com links that will auto open the Google/Apple play store and contain a tracking ID that I imagine is user specific.
Example links (Warning: REDIRECTION):
1. https://app.adjust.com/9m7f56?campaign=NZ_native&label=zCampaignId%3ASRCW300000002 (Google Play redirect)
2. https://app.adjust.com/9m7f54?campaign=NZ_native&label=zCampaignId%3ASRCW300000002 (Apple iTunes redirect)

Thanks!

Read
participation rules and provide an example site.

Hi smed79,
The example actually comes from an app on Android. When using the words with friends app, there is a message displayed saying a newer version exists in the Play Store and prevents your from doing anything without clicking 'OK'. When you click on the 'OK' message in the app, it opens a web request to your default browser (in my case firefox) and opens the following link
Code: Select all
https://app.adjust.com/9m7f53 (Google Play redirect)
which then redirects to the Play store.
I have uBlock installed on my firefox for android and find that the following filter blocks this redirect attempt.
I recommend adding it to the filter list to prevent malicious site redirecting behavior from adjust.com
Thanks

The filter you suggested block the ad in the app or only the tab opened in firefox with "
Strict-blocking" specific for uBo only?
Did you try "
AdAway" (root required) or "
DNS66" to block the ads in the Android apps?

The filter I suggested blocks the new tab opened in firefox from connecting and redirecting to the App Store.
I'm running DNS66 and the message/ad to update to newer version still shows up in the app. When click 'OK' (only option) to dismiss the message and play the game, the link is opened in default browser.

Not sure this will be fixed in easylist.
If your device is rooted, you can
log DNS requests using
AdAway and block the server called by the app to check for a new version.
