Block media elements larger than 50 kB

which you could see in "my rules" as: no-large-media: * true

I still had the word advertisement in the top part of the screen and used the dropper tool which resulted in this filter:

Is this a suggested strategy for creating filters on uBo?

dropper tool = element picker ? sure it's the dedicated tool.

I didn't realize resetting uBo to default settings would wipeout all of my previous filters.

I am a total newbie and I am so grateful for your support.

signup for free account nag now showing up constantly on video
Video now getting redirected from thevideo.me to another site so current filters not working.

Also sometimes a large X appears stating that there is a network failure and the video can't
be played, but the video continues to play just fine except for the large X in the middle of the
screen. Also the player controls disappear, and screen darkens a bit.

I have set up loads of rules for thevideo.me but recently the site is being redirected to various different addresses such as tvad.me, thevideo.io etc.

Is there any way to set up a 'catch all' rule or will I have to keep editing the names to keep up with the changes?

Lately it seems that it is impossible to watch a video fully on thevideo me and the sister site thevideo.io
When watching a video you will get a large X in the middle of the screen randomly informing you that a network
error has occurred. The video continues to play with the large X in the middle, and the player looses the
controls. If you click on the video link it will work normally until you get the error again randomly.
This only happens on thevideo.xx sites.

Here is a link to a video that gave the X within 6 minutes the first time.

I am finding it impossible to watch videos on thevideo.io too.

I have updated the uBlock filters as well as added a filter suggested by [mention]intense[/mention] above.

I welcome any support and/or suggestions to correct this issue.

Good day [mention]intense[/mention] ,
I have updated my filters using the 3rd party filters tab (ie, purge all cache, update now). I am still getting an X over the content on https://thevideo.io. If I click on the content, a popup appears that says, Chrome PDF viewer - please wait. If I click on the screen again, I get a new tab with an unrelated advertisement.

On this screen is where I get the message, "The media could not be loaded...." (see above)

I get no X on screen, only signup annoyance.

Remove all other custom filters you have eventuallu for thevideo.io and add these filters (for annoyances)

I have now removed all filters under My Filters tab except for what you included in your last post.

I recall there was some sort of report I could provide from uBo but I am not sure how to generate it.

I am also not sure which of the Settings options I should select and/or 3rd party filters.

Did you permit chrome to run flash for that site ?

Otherwise ... you should reset uBo to the default settings and test again

First update again "ublock filters", see if works (it was added another filter).

Second - if the page needs flash, well you should permit it.

To be clear, the filters I added deal with popups and crypto-mining.
I get the "media could not be loaded error" but I get the same error if I disable uBO completely, so I can't add any filter for that issue.

Error occurs with or without flash.

I have the same issue with most videos hosted at thevideo.me/io, I would say about 80% of them will not work on my end.

I restarted my computer and cleared all browsing data which seems to have made the videos on https://thevideo.io viewable again (along with the other changes / updates).
