IMO, 83 unoptimized(=slow) filters are not worth the very few banners that would be blocked additionally.salvy wrote:Fanboy-Dimensions list[...]Guest I recommend you giving it a try
sure its not optimised, but it does block so many banner dimensions.. to me its a no brainer, slightly more processing of a filter vs showing ads.
Of course that's my opinion and I just speak about the dimensions list as an addition to EL/EE. But as a big part of these are probably already blocked by EasyList or EasyElement - and I'm sure the rest could be blocked with optimized filters too - I wouldn't add another unoptimized subscription.
I been using it since September I havent notice many rebundant hits because it block mostly all those annoying
sponsor banners trying to make me visit their affiliate sites ,
Is more effective if you visit many forums which use heavily 468x60,/468x60/ dimensions
EDIT: sorry I got confused Actually I subscribed to dimension list around mid August
when I switched to Minefield

salvy, impressive I must say
@Fanboy:
I must admit I've been tempted from time-to-time to use generic 'dimensionals' ... I just could not get past the possibility of the generic fp's that could (and probably would) be caused by those. But I think you have the right idea in making it so that at least the user knows that he is using a separate 'dimension-blocking' subscription. That fact by itself should at least alert a user that something is possibly blocked because of its size ... it would alert a user to check that subscription first instead of screaming that "Adblock Plus is blocking something".
