Gmail sidebar ads [added]

Post by Gnintendo »

"Sidebar links

Gmail uses a completely automated process to provide useful information and relevant ads in the sidebar of your Gmail pages:"

Open an email in Gmail, for me I don't see the ad all the time but I always see the about these links.

I don't have the time to create a filter but I'm sure you will.

Are you on Firefox 3 ?? You have to disable and enable adblock + to actually see
the the element rule

the sponsored ads are already hidden with
mail.google.com#div(class=slwyWc)

Adding
mail.google.com#SPAN(class=iFOJMb)
will get rid off the About these links

Although I feel slightly offended by the notion that I didn't have it enabled correctly I'll just ignore it.....

It's not technically an ad, but I just noticed it so it might mean there are other ads that might be like that similarly that I haven't seen yet, after all this is the first time that's happened to me.

I think this has been adjusted here: http://forums.lanik.us/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=2454 to allow these links as they are no ads.

Marking as [rej].

mail.google.com#SPAN(class=iFOJMb)

I agree with salvy.

Sorry if I was being antagonistic, I had a bad day and it was late.
