I think hulu needs to be revisited.
For example, this video: http://www.hulu.com/watch/852798
there are no ads for me at the beginning (probably because Privacy Badger and Ghostery block the ads successfully).

Confirmed that Ghostery blocks the ads in Blindspot.
So ABP should be able to block ads in hulu again.

The ad at the beginning is blocked by Ghostery by default, but if I disable Ghostery, it shows. ABP should be able to block it if Ghostery does.

I think the situation with hulu needs to be revisited.
If Ghostery can block the ads, shouldn't ABP be able to?

I tested the video above, no video ads here (using us tunneling via shell account)

If no one replies to this issue promptly, it's pointless because the example links I provide are only relevant for a certain amount of time until Hulu decides to make it so that the episode is only available with a subscription.
As of right now, here's an example of a full episode with an ad at the beginning that you can watch without a subscription:
http://www.hulu.com/watch/891910
The ad should be blocked.
If you're reading this and the video isn't available anymore, then tick the "FREE" box next to "Available Seasons (246 Episodes)" and select one of those free videos.

I'm happy to look at it if you have a suggested filter.
however, this video ad
http://ads-v-darwin.hulu.com/published/ ... 64_650.mp4
is whitelisted by the filter:
If I disable the filter (in ABP for FF), and then block the video ad ==> a detecting message appears, but after some seconds the movie resumes.
I get the video ad after the first interruption (marked on video).
other video ad:
http://ads-v-darwin.hulu.com/published/ ... 64_650.mp4

is whitelisted by the filter:
Code: Select all

From experience, some hulu videos won't play until the advert finishes. We chose the best option to allow the video to play at the very least, even if it allows an advert.

The way it used to be is that you'd get a message about the blocked ad that lasts for the duration of the ad. The message goes away when the ad would have finished normally, then the video would begin. Right now, ABP just allows the ads to display. It can block the ads, you'd sit through the anti-adblock message, then the video will begin.
