Sorry if this is considered bumping old thread however what I'm going to say is still relevant.
The video ads that precede the video is still there, example link: http://tvcast.naver.com/v/1103337/list/91592
I'm using ABP and I've subscribed to 2 Korean filters: Korean Adblock List (https://github.com/gfmaster/adblock-korea-contrib) and YousList (https://github.com/yous/YousList) to no avail.

The naver-smr one makes the video window is just blank and won't play anything, keeps loading in the background.

@smed, you were just lucky, does not work for me too. They also have not only a single modality to push put the ads.
I guess there isnt a chance to block those video ads.
