Not Blocking Ads

All of a sudden AdBlock Plus is no longer blocking ads and pop-ups in Firefox.Tis happened earlier today in Firefox 35 and persists despite upgrade to Firefox 36. The following sites are almost unable to be used despite AdBlock Plus and Pop-Up Addon:-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/
http://www.blackandwhitearmy.com

I suspect that most websites will behave in the same way. What is the problem?
