www.techreport.com - whitelisting problem [user]
Whitelisting the http://www.techreport.com (yea, I actually do want the ads on this site enabled) doesn't seem to work with latest EasyElement ...
Besides using the whitelist string:
... you need to disable these 2 filter strings in the EasyElement (by clicking the green bullet next to each string)
That should do it.
Elements cannot be whitelisted so you need to just disable the affected strings.
Code: Select all
@@|http://*techreport.com/
Code: Select all
#div(id*=LeftAds)
#*(id*=rightad)
Elements cannot be whitelisted so you need to just disable the affected strings.

Yea, I did that (I also had to disable the "http://www2" filter string), and it works... I just wish that whitelisting would work a little better so that adding site (such as http://www.techrepot.com and www2.techreport.com) to whitelist would automatically override any other rules so I wouldn't have to do any manual adjustments like I did with TR's site.
If you want to easily whitelist sites, simply uninstall the EasyElement subscription and just keep the EasyList.
I'm sorry about that ... but you DID download an adblocker and now you want to SEE ads. That is not an adblocker's purpose.
It should be good to know, though, that once you have disabled those subscription strings in ABP, they will stay disabled even after updates. It's a one-time deal.
